The carbon emission of English football and the environmental citizenship of fans and teams by David Letteney
Global warming presents a huge challenge for individuals and governments for the next several decades. This report follows the view held by the United Nations (UN) and the International Panel of Climate Change (IPCC) that global warming needs to be mitigated in all walks of life. This study will examine the relationship between football and the environment. Football can obviously play only one role in the reduction of carbon emissions, but footballs world wide following and economic power gives it significance beyond it being just a game. This study looks at English footballs carbon emissions footprint and at the steps that English football is currently taking to reduce its environmental impact. This study also examines fan, team and regulatory bodys perceptions concerning football and the environment, and what steps they believe are practical to lessen its environmental impact. |

Green world or green dollar - a customer behaviour approach of green consumerism by Virginie Bernad
The report examines the profitability of the green and ethical food market by investigating customer behaviour. This study focuses on the food market as they are the major retailers in the UK and more likely to establish a standard business model. It shows that customers are willing to express their concern for social and environmental issues through their shopping habits. Firstly, it explores food retailers opportunity in adopting green marketing strategy. Secondly, it provides a picture on how customers perceive food retailer strategy, ethics and communication. To finish, this project assesses the characteristics of an effective green communication for food retailers. |

Evolution - Developing by Thomas Webb BSc
The Origin of Species is one of the most famous, influential and notorious books in human history. More frequently cited than read and more often read than understood, it was once estimated that 90% of biology degree students had not read the Origin. Until work on this project began, I myself was one of the 90%. I understood the concepts it included, but had no idea how Darwin conceived and developed these concepts. Since Darwinian evolution forms the cornerstone of modern biology it is therefore of great importance that we understand how this theory evolved. |
